Introduction to Electric Heavy-Duty Vehicles provides the foundational knowledge needed to work with emerging EHDV platforms. The course is designed for technicians, supervisors, managers, and commercial vehicle inspectors who need a clear understanding of EHDV systems, safety requirements, and basic service concepts.
Key Concepts: EHDV system architecture, high-voltage fundamentals, safety practices, component identification, charging basics, and introductory diagnostic concepts.
IN PERSON I INTERMEDIATE LEVEL I 16 HOURS
High-Voltage and Electrical Systems for Heavy-Duty Vehicles builds on introductory EHDV concepts and prepares technicians to diagnose, service, and repair high-voltage and low-voltage systems on modern heavy-duty electric platforms. This course is ideal for technicians, supervisors, managers, and commercial vehicle inspectors who need advanced knowledge of EHDV electrical architecture and system operation.
Key Concepts: EHDV high-voltage safety, charging level systems, drivetrain components, battery pack service and testing, thermal management, electronic controls, and system diagnostics.
IN PERSON I INTERMEDIATE LEVEL I 16 HOURS
Medium and Heavy-Duty ADAS Systems Training teaches technicians how to identify, inspect, and diagnose the advanced driver assistance systems used in modern MHD vehicles. The course covers system operation, component integration, calibration procedures, and troubleshooting through software labs and real-world case studies.
Key Concepts: Radar, lidar, camera and sensor operation, ECU communication, ADAS diagnostics, calibration techniques, and system repair.

Medium and Heavy-Duty Multiplex and PLC Controller Training introduces technicians to the operation and diagnostic principles of multiplexing and PLC systems used in modern MHD vehicles. The course covers system architecture, communication networks, and controller functionality through software-based exercises and real-world examples.
Key Concepts: Fault identification, wiring diagram interpretation, PLC logic fundamentals, basic programming, network communication, and practical diagnostic techniques.

Medium and Heavy-Duty CAN and Telematics Training teaches technicians the fundamentals of CAN communication networks and telematics systems used in modern fleet operations. The course explains how onboard data is exchanged, monitored, and used to support diagnostics, compliance, and real-time fleet management.
Key Concepts: CAN bus operation, ECU communication, telematics data acquisition, system monitoring, fault identification, and hands-on analysis of vehicle network traffic.
IN PERSON I 8 HOURS
Engine Diagnostic Control Systems provides technicians with the knowledge needed to diagnose and service mechanical and electronic engine controls across electric, diesel, CNG, and alternative-fuel platforms. The course covers theory of operation, system behavior, and diagnostic testing methods for modern medium- and heavy-duty powertrains, including zero-emission and electric trucks.
Key Concepts: Engine control theory, diagnostic strategies, electronic and mechanical system testing, powertrain communication, and troubleshooting for electric, diesel, and CNG engines.
IN PERSON I ADVANCED LEVEL I 16 HOURS
Heavy-duty air brake systems have been the standard for commercial vehicle braking systems. In addition to Diesel-, CNG- and Propane-powered vehicles, these braking principles are integral on electric heavy-duty platforms. This course covers the basics, in addition to integration with regen braking, electronic brake control modules (EBCM), and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The curriculum includes teaching foundational principles that students will need to understand traditional air brake systems used on diesel heavy-duty vehicles, and new theories principles found on battery-electric heavy-duty trucks.
Key Concepts: Compressed air basics and pneumatic energy, air supply system, dual circuit design, S-cam drum & air disc brakes, brake chambers & spring brakes, Federal & California braking regulations (FMCSA, FMVSS 121, CHP BIT), dual air systems and emergency brakes, ABS, EBS, brake system comms, electric compressors, brake blending and more.

Technicians who complete this training will understand how to service CNG fuel systems within the scope of technician-permitted activities, minimizing risk and ensuring fleet safety and performance. Fleet managers will gain confidence that their maintenance teams can apply industry-aligned best practices and safety protocols to CNG vehicles with competence and care.
Key Concepts: Safe handling, system inspection, leak detection, and troubleshooting procedures relevant to CNG-powered work trucks, buses, and vocational fleet vehicles.​

Hydraulics for Heavy-Duty Vehicles provides technicians with a foundational understanding of hydraulic system operation, service, and troubleshooting. The course covers the hydraulic circuits and components used in diesel, hybrid, and electric heavy-duty platforms, with a strong emphasis on hands-on diagnostic practice.
Key Concepts: Hydraulic system operation, component inspection, flow and pressure testing, hands-on troubleshooting, repair techniques, and preventive maintenance.
